As we become increasingly aware of the health and wellbeing benefits of green spaces, fresh air and moments for rest, how do shopping centres recreate themselves and provide visitors with these desired experiences? Tea Tree Plaza is a wonderful exemplar of this; demonstrating how public spaces can be simultaneously thriving and vibrant at the same time as exuding sense of calm and retreat.
The gardens reflect the character of the Adelaide Hills and the Barossa, bringing warm textures and colours into the Centre. The corten steel and stone and are warming and complemented with a mix of exotic and native plants.
Visitors have the opportunity to unwind and enjoy the relaxing ambience amongst the garden setting. Landscape lighting and artistic interventions also bring new life to the precinct at night, creating one of the most exciting and vibrant destinations in Adelaide.
