Toorak Village is filled with local and architectural character, boutique stores and destination retail. Our upgrade elevates the public realm to be charming, distinctive, and elegant.
The community consultation process highlighted for us 5 overarching visions. They are cultural and village, establish community, restore, reinvigorate and create a new vision. Our proposed concept design is cognisant of these and aspires to achieve the visions.
Our design started with hand sketches and was developed in 3D. The modular forms are high quality, robust and long-lasting; but also beautiful, contemporary and distinctly Toorak. The form with its curved ends takes inspiration from current trends in architecture and interior design drawings connections with Toorak Village’s reputation as a fashion and boutique retail destination.
We have developed an approach to the paving design that reinforces and complements the proposed Toorak plinth, to maintain a consistent design language. The proposed paving is the unique, high quality Toorak Trim.
