In collaboration with the City of Port Adelaide Enfield and the Taperoo community, Outerspace Studios led a multidisciplinary team of designers to create an amazing series of recreational spaces that delight all members of the community.
A key outcome of the project has been providing a vibrant space suitable for the whole community encompassing children, teenagers, families, pet owners, elderly and disabled. The level of activity and pleasure gained from the use of the park pays homage to the former use as a family campground. Several colourful sculptural tent elements created by a local artist, provide a sense of curiosity and celebrate the sites history.
Physical connections from residential areas, linking Military Road and the Beach along with the shared path, foreshore link follows the route of past Aboriginal trails.
The dog parks, separately catering for small and large furry friends, is a popular community meeting place.
