King William Road is considered the heart of Unley’s fashion and food district with a distinct village character and set amongst heritage buildings and facades.
Our upgrade is an innovation in streetscape design to provide the community and businesses with ultimate functional flexibility. By using a roll over kerb and placement of in ground markers the parallel parks can be converted into public for outdoor dining.
Paving selection and colour patterns define pedestrian circulation and seating areas. Stone paving ensures longevity and account for load bearing capacity under vehicle movements. New smart technologies have been integrated where possible with seating elements providing internet hot spots and charging points.
The consultation process was extensive and Outerspace Studios contributed by preparing beautiful materials to communicate the proposition.
